There’s a whole world of different patch management software for updating third party applications out there. One software might be suitable for a certain use cases, while another might be better for another organization.

Centero created its first comparison chart of various patch management software applications in 2014. Originally, the comparison was designed for developing Centero’s own CSM product – because understanding the other products on the market helps us to develop our product to be more competitive. After the first comparison was complete, we decided to make it available for everyone so that anyone interested in patch management software could benefit from it. The comparison was well received.

After the first comparison, a lot has happened in the software field. Therefore, we decided to review the current situation and, now, we have completed the updated version of the patch management comparison.

  • Why is using a patch management software worthwhile for upgrading software?
  • What are the most important features of a patch management solution/software?
  • How do patch management software applications succeed in different areas?
  • What are the most significant differences between the patch management products on the market?

The comparison includes the following applications:

  • F-Secure PSB: Software Updater
  • Itarian
  • Automox patch management
